This week in Re we have made recycling posters as not everybody is inspired to recycle so we made posters to inspire them. When we made them we had to make them colourful and to be able to stand out so that people can see them from a distance and that makes them want to go and look at it .These posters will be put up around the school so that people dont put the wrong things in the wrong bin and that helps people to not have to go through the bins. When we recycle we save animals and some humans lifes as  some animals go through bin bags that have been put outside and if somebody put something in the wrong bin it could hurt the animal .Also it saves humans lifes as most towns have bin men who come in the bin lorry and if they pick up the bin bag and it has something sharp in the wrong bin it could hurt the man maybe even seriously . Also because people put paper in the recycle bin when only a little part of the paper has been used. Some people beleive that say a crisp packet was now empty they would put it in recycleing when truthly it goes in non recycleable . Thes posters  should help keep the world safe and hopefully inspire people to recycle more often .

This week at school we have had our 11+ practise it was quite hard but most of us finished but some people went into a different classroom as they arent doing it. Also tomorrow some of us are going to Hilltop , which is really exciting , and its an adventure park ! Its gonna be so FUN!!!!!!! Also this morning we did our speed tables where Charlie Crisp is still our winner but some people are catching up ! In English we have drawn some pictures of a book character of a Roal Dahl book .

This week in school we have been doing assessments as we didnt do it last week cause we were doing bikeability . The first one we did was a maths test and then another maths test but then writing about the witches and then another maths test . Also we done a reading test but that was before bikeability . Some of the tests were hard but some were easy like the reading test and the writing test . Aswell as having tests we have had to do some thing people didnt like . The Injection was a bit scary as hardly anybody likes needles , well i dont , so we went in the place to the needle. When we got in there the people were really kind to us and gave us a sticker and a little tinsle buddy to stick on our shoulder.Some people didnt have the injection the same day as others as they were either scared and would have it today ( Thursday) or they will have to have it at the doctors .

In English  we have been reading exciting  poems by Pie Corbett such as the playground monster , the kiss and when i heard the music . We have been highlighting rhyming words and have been writing the similarities and differences beetween the poems . We also have written the different styles he has used in his poetry , he uses a lot of description and punctuation to grab the readers attention. These lessons on the poetry  have taken two lessons , which have been very fun . We have wrote quite a lot of interesting work in the past two lessons ! Pie Corbett has used quite a few  rhyming words but the poems are not based on  rhyming poems . His poems have a lot of hard work put in to them also  they are enjoyble to read .

This week, we have been learning about  frogs ,butterflies and grasshoppers life cycles .The frog starts off as a tadpole, the butterfly a caterpillar, and the grasshopper as a nymph.We have also done the life cycle of a flower which starts as a seed . There are many ways of how a seed starts off with. It could have been shot away to a different place, or it could of had some sort of parachute, such as a dandelion and many more.

Also we have been learning about rivers like how they start at the source and end at the sea . After all rivers and life cycles have been  fun lessons!

In  science this week we have been experimenting on which liquid will make the sunflower grow best . To make the experiment fair every group chose 6 liquids (all different) and put them in a paper towel (in a cup) and labeled them . The liquids used were Water , coke , lemon juice , tea ,apple juice ,coffee,soapy water , salt water , sugar water ,  sparkling water and vinager. We have to wait a while for them to grow but then every now and then we must check on them to make sure they are not going dry . If our liquid dissolves we must fill it up with the same liquid of what we started with . You could even try this experiment at home (if you have the right recorces ) !
