Roald Dahl books!

Recently, this week we have been reading Roald Dahl books. We didnt read all of them, but we read little bits of every book, so that we can write some notes down. At the end, we wrote about how we thought Roald Dahl writes, and what he wants us to think that he is writing.

Mountain Sculptures

Recently, we have been learning about mountains and have been making sculptures out of newspaper and paper.Firstly, we have to get a peice of card to have the base on. We continue building up the newspapers in a cone, this creates to make the shape of a mountain. If your mountain is soft then put paper over it, so that it stays hard. If you like, paint it and voila, you have a mountain!

Art

Recently, in art we have been drawing things outside from our secret garden. From flowers to leaves, they were all fun to sketch. I drew some daisies and also a strange plant. It was different so that is why I drew it. It had strange things that look like leaves, which made it look like a willow tree.

Some people chose other choices, such as sticks, leaves, grass and maybe even bugs!

Everybody had fun, (which is good) and I hope we get to do something similar again.

Puja

On Wednesday 11th , we did  a Puja tray including the 5 senses ! We did things like: a bell, a bracelet, water or fruit and a diva lamp . They are the things we could have made  as the sign of the five senses.

Using, a paper plate we decorated it with crayons and felt tips, to make it beautiful so that it wasn’t  boring. Many of us did 3D, others just drew, but all looked amazing!

Sunflower Experiment

Recently, in science we have been doing an experiment about liquids, and which sunflower seed will grow better than others in a variety of liquids. We are waiting to see which one will grow and which one will not. Here are some of the liquids we have used: tea, water, salty water, juice and much more! Before we put the liquids in the cup, we used a paper towel that was put in, hiding the sunflower seed. We can’t wait to see the results!
