In year 5 our topic is mountains. We did a mountain model out of newspaper in art and also some writing.

This week in year 5 we have been doing tests.

This week we have been working on 3D models of mountains. We used newspaper to scrunch up and form a mountain.

On Tuesday we had injections vaccinations for Hepatitis A they did not hurt ( only when they went in ) but otherwise it’s fine .

This week in year 5 we have been doing tests we have all done really well in our tests

Bike Ability.

We have been  on  the roads. Also we have done  how  to over  take  a parked  car .

All week we have been doing bikability . One the first day we were riding in the playground . The next day we went into groups and I was in Sue and Alans groups and charlie was in Mark and John group.

Today we carried on with our powerpoints about mountains.We have chosen a mountain to find facts about , and have typed information on the laptops about the specific mountain we chose. Everyone had the whole week to type it up and we have tomorrow aswell to finish it off .

In Triangulum we have been doing Bike Ability. Also, we have been doing how to do u turns and over taking cars that are parked. We know how to start and end  a journey on our bikes. The instructors were called Sue and Alan.

This week some people did bikeability while the others did a project on mountains.In bikeability we did  coming into junctions and coming out of junctions . Also we have learnt to be able to control the speed of our bike when we are in a snake or in traffic or even coming upto a junction .We have been learnt to use signals so that a car behind or infront knows where we are going . Also some of us have been told about sighns and what they mean as we will need to use them in future so that we are safe and so are other drivers . To know what we have to know we were given a book about everything on the road and sometimes the instructors told us about stuff that we need to know about riding our bike on the road . As we have already completed level 1 of our bikeability test we have been sent up to level 2 which is a little harder as we have been doing junctions and to keep the traffic behind us , which is where we must move our bike into controll position but once we have completed the turning we must move back  to sharing position , which is where we are going to let other traffic over take us.
