Monday January 9th 2017 year 4 went to Lincoln Castle to learn about the Romans. Just before the bus arrived children was playing games and it took 1hour and a half. Happily we arrived to Lincoln Castle and Mrs Dowding was sorting us into 3 groups and when we got there 3 people was called Chris, Gen and Lisa. Chris was helping us to make an shield (scutum) and it was fun making them and he showed us a helmet (galea),sword (gladius),

In year 4 we have done some assessment writing. The first thing we had to do was to watch the trailer of Fantastic beasts and where to find them. Our next step was to create our own fantastic beast! Daniel’s beast was called Grainiac he could use his psychic powers to through other objects and people. It had rocks floating behind. My beast was called the blade snake. It was covered in razor blades. It could camouflage really well. It could also shrink and grow. It can change color and it is very vicious. It had no feet so it flew about but it didn’t have wings. In maths we are playing a game called go fish,it is easy to play for you to play.
In math go fish each player has 6 maths cards but the deler go’s fist it gos anticlockwise you need 5 maths cards to have a pack
there are a lot of club’s I go to film club. There are archery club, film club, gymnastic club, Pokémon trading card.
Key stage 2 we have been writing stories about crazy creatures for a competition. We have to write a mini saga. A mini saga has 100 words, you can not go over that number.
In English we are learning about Jane Goodall she is a famous scientist. She is famous for interacting with chimpanzees and studying them. She loved chimpanzees all of her life that’s why she went to study them. The problem was though is that she had to travel all the way to Africa to be with the chimpanzees. Jane has lived in the jungle for a long time but she had to work really hard to get near the chimpanzees. She even discovered nature and society. A man called Louis Leakey offered Jane a job in the jungle.
In year 4 we have been searching in our groups about different people and my group have to search Jane Goodall.Jane Goodall taught a chimpanzee sign language .She use to write books and still does .I think she is very amazing.
On the 8th of november year 4 did an asement about Fantastic Beast and where to find them.We had to create are own monsters and chase them when they escaped.They escaped out a suitcase.we chased them round a city we got to pick our own city I picked turkey.When we caght them we trained them.
