On Monday the 9th of January Antares and Leo went to Lincoln Castle .It was next to the ginormous cathedral There was three groups and we all split up to do different activities all led by a coach there were 3 coaches Lisa, Chris and Jen. We all had a blast and we even climbed the castle walls while Lisa was there teaching us what it would have looked like before it was a massive castle. She also showed us pictures of what it would have looked like it was tiny! she also led us to the female prison to teach us to march. Us and Chris made some scootems (Latin for shield) we had to make sure we had eagle wings on our scootems to terrify our foes. Next we worked with Jen she taught us archaeology she gave us tubs of dirt and soil and some spades we then dug up some real Roman artefacts and sketched what we found. After that it was the end of the trip and we whizzed away in the bus. my favourite bit was the archaeologist part because I love sketching and digging!

On Monday 9th of January 2017,Antares and Leo class went to Lincoln castle! We had a very boring trip to the castle. I sat next to Jessica stancer and Zak male. when we got there we were met by some people called Lisa,Chis and jen. First we whent

On Monday Y4 went to the wonderful Lincoln Castle. At Lincoln we were separated into three groups either Mr.Lord,Mrs.Dowding and Miss Law each group had a go at doing three different activities. The three different activities were Roman marching,Shield making and archeology digging. The helpers were called Chris,Lisa and Jen they helped us learn about the Romans. With Chris we did shield making which was fun because we designed are own eagle shields.

With Jen we did archeology digging do find Roman objects. When we finished we made our own mueseam once we had done that we went to a real museasm which had an antler comb.

Next we did Roman marching with Lisa but first we had to climb a spiral stair case with slippery banisters. Then we walked on top of the castle it had creaky wooden paths. Not all of it was wooden most of it was stone. Lisa taught us some new Roman words. Then we had to walk down a dark passage way the only light was coming from outside. Then we walked back into the old stone castle. We all walked down into a Victorian prison so we had space to practise our marching. Instead of  saying left right they said sin dex.

We got to wear helmet which were called galea hold a sword what was called gladius.

On Monday the 9th of January we all went to Lincoln castle we were learning about romans. because we done the rest of the time line when we got there we met three people I went in the group with a girl called Lisa  it was very fun I loved the part when we walked on the walls I really liked it when we were really high because I love high places. we was really exited. Some of us were really scared. But some of us loved being up high and me and my friends loved it  we were not allowed to run and we moved over to  the corner and after we got there we all stepped down the steps into the dungeon  we were worried about falling down the stairs  because it was really dark and deep and the steps were steep and we all walk out of the dungeon and we all was very exited for the next activity. the activity was making shields it was fun  after that we had lunch it was yummy after lunch . we did archelogy where we dug up some roman remains it was very fun . and that was the end of our amazing roman trip I loved our excellent roman school trip my favourite part was walking on the amazing walls

On Monday the 9th of January year 4 went on a school trip to Lincoln castle.We got on the Copley bus and started heading off I sat next to Steve it was a hour and a half journey.Me and Steve played I spy to some pass time.We finally got there we walked on the bumpy road and past the golden post box!Then we walked in the 2000 year old walls.Then we met the teachers they were called Jen,Chris and Lisa.First I went with Jen we did archaeology we got split up into groups of 4.We started digging to find items I found a funnel.We made a display of items that we found.It was amazing!After that we did the wall walk but before we got on the wall we climbed a tall set of spiral stairs my legs started aiking half way up. finally we got up.

On Monday  9th of January 2017, all of year 4 went Lincoln castle to learn about the romans. There was 3 people one was Lisa,Cris,and jen my freind was Julia when we went on the bus it took 1 and a half hours to get there.

On Monday the 9th of January year 4 went on a trip to Lincoln Castle. We went because we wanted to learn about Romans and we had already learnt about stone age, bronze age and Iron age. At Lincoln Castle we were split into three groups with three people that worked there. There were also three activities. The first activity was walking on the wall with a lady called Lisa.The second activity was making shields with a man called Chris. On the shield we could make an eagle on it .And the last activity was archaeology with a lady called Jen. and archeology was my favourite activity. In the last activity which was archaeology we got into groups of four. In my group of four  there was me , Kobi, Dan and Kaden.In our groupes  we had a crate filled with soil and was split into four sections and each of us had an artefact to find.Two of the artifacts were 2000 years old and two were replicas.We had a digging tool to find the artefacts in the soil.there were lots of artifacts.After the archaeology we went down into the artefact display to look at things archeologists had found.After that we started collecting our bags and coats to go home.The day was so fun and I’d love to go again one day. On the way back it took quite a while.

On Monday 9th January 2017 Y4 went to Lincoln castle because in English we are leaning about Romans. When we was at the castle we had to be put into groups. Once we was in are groups we had to go in this building but sadly we had to go up loads of stairs. On the second floor we finally got to put are stuff on a peg.Then we went to go to Chris to go into the shield making room to make shields.After we was aloud to try on some armor but none of the helmets fitted me.After we tried on some armor we left our seats and walked into the archaeology room  with Jen. In there ,there was  some boxes with a Roman object in each corner of the box.In the box was also a trowel that we scraped off mud with and there was a paintbrush to clean the Roman objects.

On Monday the 9th   of    January  yr4 went to lincoln castle yr4 were so excited about going. Every one was happy playing game me  and my partner were playing pat cake and sining pull me closer then will H Joined in with us it kept   us happy while we was on the way to Lincoln castle I enjoyed it.
