Poetry is our English lessons in Triangulum. Lessons are fantastic especially art.

In poetry we have been looking at poems in are lessons  who are from Pie Corbett . But some poems were different. We read  when I heard the music. We also read the monster in the playground.And also we heard the kiss one with loads of speech  marks and which had six verses. They were all made by Pie Corbett. With some really good poetry and rythme with loads of diffrent charecters in with loads of rythming words . But this was the longest poem he made.

Recently, we have been hearing about poems by Pie Corbett. We have read three of his poems called, When I heard the music, The playground monster, and The kiss. All of his poems are really good. On Friday 6th May 2016 we are reading another one of his poems which i hope will be really good. I am so excited.

In Scince we have only just finished our Frog leaflet/booklets. They all look amazing. Everyone have put hard work into them all.

Today we looked at poems wrote by Pie Corbett and they are really good. Anyway the first one was called When I heard the music, then The playground Monster and finally The KISS. They were all very good even though some did not have as much infomation or in other words discriptive language.

Today in English we read poems by Pie Corbett.The funniest poem that we read was called the Kiss. We all read 3 poems.The other 2 were called When i heard the music and The playground monster. Also we did maths and in math we had book 7 page 119 and 112. Me and Charlie found it very fun and easy.It was about graphs.

After that  we did reading. Since Im in a higher reading group than Charlie we do different things. For Charlie she did homework and my group did silent reading. Also Charlie had to pick a new book and Evie Randsoms book won. The book is called Demon dentist by David Wallims.

We are waiting to see what is ahead of us for the afternoon…

In English  we have been reading exciting  poems by Pie Corbett such as the playground monster , the kiss and when i heard the music . We have been highlighting rhyming words and have been writing the similarities and differences beetween the poems . We also have written the different styles he has used in his poetry , he uses a lot of description and punctuation to grab the readers attention. These lessons on the poetry  have taken two lessons , which have been very fun . We have wrote quite a lot of interesting work in the past two lessons ! Pie Corbett has used quite a few  rhyming words but the poems are not based on  rhyming poems . His poems have a lot of hard work put in to them also  they are enjoyble to read .

Recently, we have been looking at poetry by Pie Corbett! Here’s the poems we’ve looked at : The playground monster , The kiss and When I heard the the music . They are all lovely poems, but we have looked at the similarites and differences, plus we chose the one we liked the best.We stuck the poems in our Literacy Books, and then highlighted the rhyming words. Eg. down and frown!

Eloise liked The playground monster, because it used personification eg. tarmac jaws .It was about the playground. Priya liked When I heard the music, because it was told how  he imagined the music, also it had a lovely flow to it.

We all enjoyed the poems, and it was brilliant to see everyone’s opinion of what they thought was good!

This past week in English we have been learning about poetry. We looked at Pie Corbett –  the three we looked at where kiss, when I heard the music and the playground monster. They all had a little bit of rhyme with things like days and craze and snog and frog. Personally my favourite was when i heard the music beacause it was different and it was random compared to the other poems we looked at with lots of repetition.
